                  Version 4.5 of the CHEF editor
                  ==============================

    The latest version of the CHEF editor contains two new
features. The machine-readable user documents have been updated,
as has the help information available from CHEF itself. This
document provides a brief summary of those new features.

    There are two new modifiers to the R operator. The RL and RU
commands take a single pattern as operand, and convert the first
occurrence of that pattern (on each line of the location) to
lower or upper case respectively.

    Example:

      RL/abc/

converts the first occurrence of 'abc' to 'ABC'.

    There are improvements to the saving of edits on input
timeouts, network failure, etc. If the N command has been used,
the 'nested' edit(s) will also be saved; consult the
documentation for further details.
