This is some test input for the word splitting algorithm of
A.J. Wilkes.  That is, it is an e.g., or (even more briefly) i.e. it
is an e.g..  Note that we hope that 'quoted' text will be quote stripped,
something that shouldn't happen with internal apostrophes.  Indeed,
we trust that brackets (like this) will be correctly treated.  Our only
outstanding problem is with words like 'andle.  We hope that quoted
parenthesization ('like this') will also work.  Pure numerals - like 12300, 2
and 27937 - should be lost but mixed alphanumerics - PDP11, 65K - should not.
This also means that ROFF directives
.ul
will be OK, but gives problems with precise spacing like DW#Singer#An#Example.
Funny words like disk, neccessary, Differrent, yeild should be questioned.
