                               TAB and BACK TAB

When you enter EMACS, Tab stops are set every five spaces. To change them:

     1. Press the COMMAND MODE key.

     2. Type: sui_set_tabs

     3. Press the RETURN key.

A ruler will be printed across the top of the screen. Position (using the
space bar) to the columns where you want to set a tab and type a "T". NOTE
that you should type ONLY spaces and "T" characters; cursor keys are not used.
Use the BACK SPACE key to fix errors. When all the tabs are set, press the
RETURN key.

If you wish to reset the tabs to the original default of every five spaces,
type reset_tabs to the Command: prompt.

The TAB and BACK TAB keys will move you forward or backward to the next tab
stop. If you press "too many" TABs, the terminal's bell will sound.
