Another useful contact for APL would be Tim Standish. He studied APL a lot 
and wrote a number of papers about it; APL inspired some of his own work on 
programming languages subsequently. I know that Tim had some contacts with 
APL developers, and perhaps with Ken Iverson himself.

I could probably dig up some of Tim's papers from my files. However, it's 
probably better to go directly to Tim, who is retired from UC Irvine. The 
latest e-mail address I have for him is tastandish at aol.com.
