<DIV>I have been working with Bernard Peuto, Paul McJones and Mike Powers to
define a project to document and preserve software collections.
Earlier this week I published a web page on the CHM/SCC site under SCC
Projects/Directory of Software Collections. </DIV>

<DIV>The initial goal of this project is to index, abstract and preserve web
sites containing software collections. The next step will be to
collaborate and find a way to preserve these collections, possibly by
mirroring the sites.</DIV>
